Holy Names High Wins Technovation Contest

A Holy Names High School team took first place for its app ‘You, Better’ in the April 28 Technovation Challenge Program in Berkeley. Team members, who also competed in National Pitch Night May 3 at Intel in Santa Clara, included Brianna Scarborough, Yuna Seok, Coralie Rodriguez, Camille Trujillo and Maya Castro. More than 500 high school girls nationwide participated in the challenge to create a prototype for a mobile phone app, develop a business plan and prepare a presentation to promote it. The Holy Names team of Irene Anthony, Asia Barton, Clare Colt, Eleanor Good and Nicole Sharp placed third for the app ‘Raw Radiance.
