Wells Fargo Home Mortgage customers facing financial hardships can attend a free workshop where the bank’s retention team members will be on hand to assist customers and discuss concerns and options.
The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12 at the Oakland Marriott Convention Center – East Hall, 1001 Broadway in Oakland.
The workshop will also be held 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the NID- Housing Counseling Agency, 2200 Powell St. in Emeryville.
Customers can learn about options that may help them overcome payment challenges, understand how they may be able to avoid foreclosure and connect with resources like housing counselors and the online tools.
According to Wells Fargo, from January 2009 through August 2012, the bank has modified 803,456 mortgage loans. Of those modifications, 84 percent were done through Wells Fargo’s own modification programs and 16 percent were through the federal government’s Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP).
