The California Hawaii State Conference of the NAACP will hold nominations and elections of officers and executive committee members of the Richmond NAACP Branch for 2012 – 2014. Nominations will be open on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to noon, and voting will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Richmond NAACP Branch Office, 322 Harbour Way, Suite #6 in Richmond. Nominations will be made from the floor. Those who are interested in running for a position need three members in good standing to sign the nomination papers. The elections will be done by secret ballots at the close of the nomination process. Area Director Freddye Davis will conduct the election. The newly elected officers will take over the operation of the branch immediately. The following positions are open: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and Members-At Large (7).
