The Oakland Board of Port Commissioners has appointed Danny Wan as the port’s new attorney, effective Dec. 17.
In this position Wan will be responsible for giving advice on legal affairs that arise in the conduct of the agency’s maritime, aviation, and commercial real estate businesses.
“Mr. Wan brings to this position the ideal background— as public agency legal counsel and executive manager, as a public servant, and as a former deputy Port Attorney,” Port Board President Gilda Gonzales said.
Wan has also served as an Danny Wan Oakland City Councilmember and worked in private law practice, specializing in municipal financing and securities disclosure.
