The City of Oakland and the consulting firm Sand Dollar Group, LLC have teamed up to help local small businesses grow and increase their revenue. They are offering free technical assistance to Oakland entrepreneurs who are certified as small businesses with the city. Qualified small businesses will receive monthly consulting services through June 2014 at no cost and will learn a variety of business growth and management strategies with hands on assistance from small business experts. Additionally, all Oakland certified small business owners will have the opportunity to participate in seminars that will teach a variety of topics from local experts. “Topics will range from financial management to sales and marketing and venture capital opportunities,” said Sand Dollar Group CEO Paul C.
