OCCUR Presents “Taking the Lead to Transform Communities”

“Taking the Lead to Transform Communities, ” the first in a free series of workshops of the 2013 Model Built on Faith Nonprofit Capacity Building Series VI, will presented Thursday, Feb. 28 in Oakland by OCCUR and the San Francisco Foundation. The series of workshops and clinics are targeted to leaders and staff of faiths organizations who are committed to making a difference in the community. Titled “Leadership Essentials: The Transformation Touch,” the event features Bishop Henry B. Alexander, Founder of Shield of Faith Organizations Worldwide, Bishop Jerry Macklin, Second Assistant PresidingBishop of COGIC and Pastor of Glad Tidings Church of God in Christ, and Arnold Perkins, community activist and former Director of Alameda County Public Health.
