The City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce will host the annual State of the City address with Mayor Stephen Cassidy Thursday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at the San Leandro Senior Community Center, 13909 East 14th St., next to San Leandro Hospital.
“This is a dynamic and challenging time in San Leandro’s history,” said Mayor Cassidy. “With the assistance of our civic, neighborhood and business leaders, and many partners at all levels of government, we are transforming San Leandro into a center of innovation.”
Cassidy plans to update residents, businesses and investors on the acceleration of San Leandro’s climate innovation as well as issues facing local government.
Some of the key topics and themes include: New City Council goals for 2013-2015; private-public partnerships; job creation via health care, technology investment and green building; local government challenges in safety, infrastructure and fiscal sustainability; investment in San Leandro’s downtown, shoreline and BART stations; and San Leandro’s place and future in the San Francisco Bay Area economy.
