Wells Fargo Gives $15,000 Grant to Berkeley Public Education Foundation

Wells Fargo presented 15 checks to school foundations and school representatives at a recent event in the Alameda County of Office of Education in Hayward. . “In addition to the countless hours that our team members spend volunteering in local schools, we are proud to provide funding to schools throughout the East Bay,” said Micky Randhawa, East Bay president for Wells Fargo. “We want to personally say ‘thank you’ to the educators in our communities and provide resources to help purchase schools supplies or other pressing needs,” said Randhawa. Wells Fargo has donated over $3.9 million in education funding in Alameda County since 2010. Some of the school districts received grants: Oakland School Foundation (Oakland)- received $50,000; Berkeley Public Education Foundation (Berkeley) – $15,000 ; and  West Contra Costa Public Education Foundation (Richmond) – $35,000; Also receiving funds were the Fremont Education Foundation, the Hayward Education Foundation, San Leandro Education Foundation, San Lorenzo Scholarship Foundation and the New Haven Schools Foundation in Union City
