Ten-year-old Tariah Brown, a student at Verde Elementary School in North Richmond, has been a cheerleader for the past four years. A SWAT All Stars Youth Divas Youth Prep Level I cheerleader, she and her Northern California team competed against a team in Southern California for the Cali Finale North vs. South, April 19-21,in Bakersfield. CA. She was formerly a member of West County Spartan Football Cheerleading Squad and participated in cheerleading and dance competitions in Vallejo, Davis and Los Vegas. Tariah is a member of McGlothen Temple Church of God in Christ where she is part of the Tambourine Ministry. She has performed at several church and community functions.  She also belongs to the Youth Department, the Union Usher Board and sings in the Clarence James Davis Memorial Choir. “Cheerleading is what I love to do,” she said.
