OCCUR will present its 3rd workshop in the 2014 OCCUR/San Francisco Foundation Model Built on Faith Capacity Building Series, featuring Dr. Marsha Pendergrass Maloof, a managing partner at Pendergrass Smith Consulting.
In this interactive session, participants will learn how to plan and evaluate new and ongoing programs. Dr. Pendergrass Maloof will hone in on the critical importance of planning and evaluation and its importance in meeting community needs and optimizing community impact.
“Solid program design and evaluation are also a key factor to attract funders,” says Dr. Pendergrass Maloof. “If your organization is struggling to find the funding you need to implement key community programming, start with program planning and evaluation.”
“This type of training is usually only open to university students,” says Carmen Bogan, Model Built on Faith program director. “Thanks to funding from the San Francisco Foundation, we’re able to bring it to faiths and other nonprofits leaders from across the Bay Area – for free. I encourage them to take advantage of this opportunity.”
The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 24 at Oakland’s First Unitarian Church, 685 14th S. Check in starts at 8:30 a.m., and the workshop begins promptly at 9 a.m.
All are encouraged to attend and can register online at www.amodelbuiltonfaith.org or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or fax an RSVP to (510) 268-9065.
