The Hannah Gallery will present The Gospel Cafe on Friday evening, July 25 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Enjoy food, fellowship, music and other inspirational entertainment. Admission is free.
On Saturday, July 26 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Hannah Freedom School will celebrate World Culture Day. A rummage sale, Mariachi music, food from around the world and games will be included.
Most items at the rummage sale will be sold under $10. Proceeds will benefit the Hannah Freedom School.
An art opening and reception for “Dia de los Muertos,” a mural exhibition by lead artist Ernesto Hernandez Olmos will be held as a fundraiser and benefit for the Hannah Freedom School.
The Hannah Gallery is located at 170 Donahue St. in Marin City. The Hannah Project will be on vacation from Aug. 5 to Sept. 3. The gallery will reopen on Sept. 4.
On Wednesday, July 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Freedom School will be presenting its Freedom School finale, which will take place at the Bayside/MLK Academy at 200 Phillips Drive in Marin City. There will be dancing, singing, food, cheers and chants.
“Mississippi vs. Democracy: Freedom Summer.1964,” an intergenerational play commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, will be presented at the event. Admission is free.
