Spencer Whitney

Spencer Whitney received a B.A. in Journalism at Howard University, magna cum laude and a Master's Degree from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism in 2013. At the School of Journalism, he committed to writing long form narrative stories and creating radio segments for the NorthGate Radio show on KALX (90.7). Some of his duties involve being responsible for the upkeep of Post News Group website as well as working with editors to cultivate relationships with businesses and other news sources while reporting on national and local news stories in the Bay area. He is also member of the Annenberg Honors Program as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. His long form narrative Master thesis "Ending the Backlog" focused on identifying the reasons for the backlog of sexual assault evidence in police storage facilities.
