Raiders , Microsoft Give Local Students Brand New Tablets

Nearly two-dozen students from McClymonds High School and Oakland Community Day School were treated to lunch at the Oakland Raiders facility on Tuesday given recognition for their academic and behavioral accomplishments.
Oakland Raiders Charles Woodson, Tyvon Branch Brice Butler, Jon Condo, Lamarr Houston, Phillip Adams, Tracy Porter, Marcel Reece, and Raider Legend Willie Brown, the Raiderettes, the Raider Rusher, presented Millsmont Academy School Officials with a $10,000 grant from the NFL's PLAY 60 campaign.

Julia Bonin, a third grade teacher at Millsmont Academy, 3200 62nd Ave, knew she had to be creative in establishing a mechanism to impact the lives of her students beyond the confines of a classroom.

Raiders Recognize Oakland High School Coach Jayce Goree

Head Coach Jayce Goree of Oakland High School on Tuesday was presented with the Oakland Raiders “Coach of the Week” after his Wildcats defeated Oakland Tech 14-12, improving record to 3-5.
