Bay Area Pastor Performs at Holiday Concert

Apostle Ross Garrison, Jr. of Judah The Gathering Place of Ministry Unto Jesus church in Oakland recently performed at a holiday concert along with other local gospel choirs at Image Changers Church in Lathrop.

Held on Dec. 17, the free event included a gift expo and benefited the UC Davis Children’s Hospital Toy Drive as attendees donated new, unwrapped toys for children.

Garrison and Judah The Gathering Place performed songs off their recently released album “We Will Worship, Vol. 1”. The album is described as a mix of old school and contemporary gospel music with songs like “Altar Worship,” “My Soul Says Thank You Lord,” and “Hallelujah Hymn Anthem.”

The Tri-Valley Choir of Stockton and Mike Mitchell also performed at the concert as well as the praise team from Image Changers Church.

Garrison has been pastor at Judah The Gathering Place since 1982 continuing the legacy of his father and former pastor, the late Dr. Ross Garrison, Sr. The church was formerly known as Good Samaritan Christian Fellowship Church. Garrison and his wife Elder Shannon Garrison have been said to be “on the cutting edge of one of the fastest growing ministries in the heart of the Bay Area.”
