Vallejo Unity Day Is Finally Here, September 14th


Vallejo Together and the Greater Vallejo Recreation District present the 5th Annual Unity Day Celebration, commemorating Vallejo’s diversity in all forms. With two stages, the Cultural Stage and the Millennium Stage, an international food arena, business and nonprofit booths, there are many different activities for youth and families.

Activities will include the Vallejo Admirals baseball toss, Bay Bizness Motorcycle Club exhibit, fire department tour, garden tour at St. Vinnie’s Community Garden, face painting, kite and kayaking with Stephen Souza, horse time with Spirit Horse Bay Area, and Mad Hatter activities.

Guests can also get a free haircut from Whip It Up Haircut.

Business Booths include Evolution Training Center, It Works, Simply Classic Dance Company, and the Unconventional Garden.

Also organizations such as Alpha Pregnancy Center, Black Infant Health, Bridgeway Church, Care to Share Mobile Unit, and Participatory Budgeting Vallejo will be on site providing information and other resources.

The Cultural Stage will include performances by Simply Dance Company (African), Xhicano Theater (Chicano), Vallejo Bayanihan Dance Group (Filipino), and Grateful Siren Belly Fusion Dancers & Friends (Middle Eastern).

Unity Day will take place on Sunday, September 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at City Park, located at 1248
