Cooking since the age of fourteen, Chef Michael Midgley realized his life-long dream to open his own restaurant. Midgley’s Public House, located on the Brick- Walk in Lincoln Center, promises to be an exciting, culinary experience serving steaks, pork chops, and American-fusion small plates, paired with spirits and fine wine.
The newly created atmosphere with stone, dark woods, lanterns and a copper topped bar also includes beautiful outdoor bar and dining patios.
Even at his young age, Chef Midgley has made a name for himself in the culinary world. He attended California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. His big and vivacious personality expands way beyond San Joaquin County. He has appeared as a contestant on Bravo television’s “Top Chef” and was a winner on Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen”.
As he reached ‘celebrity chef’ status, he has appeared as a judge on Esquire network’s “Knife Fight” and Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.” A local celebrity, Chef Midgley has recently released his first ebook – “Mike Midgley 20 Easy Recipes: Awesome Food Anyone Can Make (with a little help from me!)”, available on Amazon.com. He was most recently the Executive Chef at Ernie’s in Manteca.
Right now his celebrity chef status will take a back burner to his passion to open this restaurant – and his passion to serve great food! Involved in every detail of the design of the restaurant to the savory selections on the menu, the opening of Midgely’s Public House is not only a dream, it is now a reality.
“My wife Laci and I gave ‘Midgley’s Public House’ a great deal of thought before we made the decision to move forward. Lincoln Center, is the perfect place for us to realize this dream,” states Chef Midgley. “The location, ambiance and decor are the perfect backdrop to blend with the menu choices that we offer.”
Chef Midgley and his wife Laci reside in Stockton with their three children.
Midgley’s Public House is located at 296 Lincoln Center. For more information, call the restaurant at 209.474.7700 or go to www.midgleyspublichouse.com
