School Buzz: Live the Life That We Would Want to Live

In life, there are times when you are surrounded by negative situations – things that tend to bother you.

These conditions may begin to create the emotion of anger, frustration or pain. These situations make you think about your life and your struggles.

However, they also make you think about what you have endured and the achievements that you can push forward to obtain by following your passion.

Nadir Morgan lived in Jamaica before reaching California and now lives in El Cerrito. He has been an A and B student most of his life – because he stepped away from the situations that were happening around him.

“I have always helped people with school work if they were struggling, no matter how rude they acted,” he said. He was sure to stand his ground in the right place and to stand firm.

He is one to protect his positive mindset with focus and consistency.

A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions. You can do so in a positive way, eliminating the predicaments and empowering yourself to better your environment.

“Last year I went to Harding Elementary and talked to the children about eating correctly and why it’s important to exercise,” said Morgan. “I’ve always been the person to never shoot down anything that someone is aspiring to do. I help them accomplish whatever their trying.”

He continued: “The best portions of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you. The person who is looking up to you – the only thing you have to do is to not let that person down.”

As a high school student, Morgan would like to emphasize that by passing on what he has learned so far in his life: Teach the children that are younger than you, because they begin to soak in the information nas learn how to do things in an assured way and why to avoid certain actions.

“I believe I’ve made a positive change in my community, because of the fact that I have always tried to help people who needed it and have never steered people the wrong way into doing bad things,” he said.

Life isn’t always about finding yourself; it is about creating yourself and establishing the way you feel inside.
