San Leandro Library to Host “Year of the Sheep” Lunar New Year Celebration

San Leandro will welcome the Year of the Sheep at a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library at 300 Estudillo Ave.

Admission is free.

“I encourage San Leandrans to join us at the city’s annual Lunar New Year celebrations, which will include a diverse array of festive performances and activities, including fun crafts, beautiful music, exciting dancing, and bright costumes,” said Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter.

The celebration will include performers from the Korean Culture Center, dancers from the China Dance School of San Francisco and the lion dancers of Vovinam Viet-Do-Dao of San Jose.

Free Asian craft-making sessions for children will be hosted by the Asian Community Cultural Association of San Leandro.
