This month’s Oakland Post Salon will discuss the struggle for jobs for Oakland residents: “Working in Oakland: How can we create jobs to support the right of people to continue living in the city,” Sunday, Sept. 27, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Geoffrey’s Inner Circle, 410 14th St. in downtown Oakland.
Panelists will include Gay Plair Cobb of the Oakland Private Industry Council, City Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan, Alicia Contreras of the Spanish Speaking Citizens’ Foundation and a speaker from OaklandWorks.
Come and participate in the discussion about this topic, which is crucial to the future of the city.
Geoffrey’s bar will be open for anyone who wishes to buy drinks.
The Post Salon is free, and donations are appreciated to cover the cost of the event.
For those who are interested, Jazz at Geoffrey’s starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Bring a friend!
