The Office of the Mayor Tom Butt, in conjunction with RichmondWORKS and Assemblymember Tony Thurmond, will be hosting a Jobs and Career Expo on 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Richmond Memorial Convention Center, 403 Civic Center Plaza in Richmond.
This event will give job seekers an opportunity to meet with employers that have local hiring goals and are growing their businesses, as well as learn about training and certification resources in the community.
Companies that have confirmed their participation include: Chevron, East Bay Municipal Utilities District (EBMUD), Kaiser Permanente, West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD), Turner Group Construction, Sun Light and Power, Marin Clean Energy, Comcast, Republic Services and North Cal Laborers JATC.
Richmond residents are encouraged to attend and network with potential employers. All attendees should remember to “dress for success” and bring several copies of their resume.
