The City of San Leandro and the Bay Area HomeBuyer Agency are offering a free homebuyer seminar on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The seminar will be held in the Thunderbolt Room at the Marina Community Center, located at 15301 Wicks Boulevard San Leandro, CA 94579.
The seminar is part of the City of San Leandro’s efforts to promote home ownership in the city and to assist first-time homebuyers. The free seminar focuses on: how to prepare to become a homeowner, strategies and protocols to finance and purchase a home in the current competitive real estate market, and special homebuyer assistance programs available to first time homebuyers.
In addition, upon completing the seminar, eligible San Leandro residents may make an appointment to receive free homebuyer counseling.
There are still a number of helpful homebuyer assistance programs that are made available through public and private sources. These programs could significantly reduce the amount of down payment and monthly costs for eligible homebuyers. The seminar will discuss how a homebuyer may be able to take advantage of one or more of these programs.
Make certain to provide one’s full name and email address when registering. The Bay Area HomeBuyer Agency is a not-for-profit municipal agency that is contracted by the City of San Leandro to administer the City’s first time homebuyer program.
