Ford Motor Company Fund kicked off its Ford Freedom Unsung program on Tuesday, Nov. 3 with a community dinner in Oakland.

As part of its ongoing commitment to support local communities, Ford Freedom Unsung honors the outstanding achievements of everyday people and organizations performing extraordinary work in the African American community.

“Unsung heroes surround us every day and look for nothing in return,” said Pamela Alexander, director of Community Development, Ford Motor Company Fund. “Ford is proud to honor the contributions of others who go above and beyond to positively impact communities, but are often not recognized for what they do.”
