More than 30 local students had the opportunity to receive free eye exams before school starts this year.
The Vision Van stopped by the Richmond Public Library Aug. 1 to provide free eye exams and glasses to local children in need. During the last week of July, dozens of children were prescreened by the library, which “helped determine if kids should receive free glasses with fun frames, or, perhaps, didn’t need glasses.”
The students will be able to pick up their glasses in a few weeks or have them mailed.
“Hopefully just in time to start school with better vision,” city officials said.
