#WeChoose – National Live Call-in Town Hall Meeting on Public Education

The #WeChoose Campaign has already organized over 30 town hall meetings across the country engaging communities in building grassroots visions for public education.

The next step will be to hold a live-streamed national town hall meeting with leaders who have joined the #We Choose Campaign, which was organized to promote “education equity, not the illusion of ‘school choice.’”

The live, call-in event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon (EST), Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Thurgood Marshall Center for Services, 1816 12th St. NW in Washington D.C.

Writer and commentator Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry will host the discussion. Participants will include: Derrick Johnson, NAACP president; Judith Browne-Dianis, Advancement Project, director; and Jitu Brown, Journey for Justice Alliance (J4J), national director.

The town hall will broadcast on KTPA Radio and will be livestreamed by Real News Network and the J4J Facebook page
