OCCUR, SF Foundation Host Proposal Writing Workshop, February 22

Oakland Citizens Committee for Urban Renewal (OCCUR) and The San Francisco Foundation Alliance with Interfaith To Heal Society (FAITHS) program present the 2018 “A Model Built on Faith, Workshop 1: Elements of Successful Proposal Writing” on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.

“Two of the biggest challenges for faiths and nonprofit leaders is meeting the constant challenge of raising funds and finding affordable grant writers who can bring in the money,” says Carmen Bogan, Program Director of “A Model Built on Faith.” “A lot of people can write, but it’s about strategy and building an air-tight case for funding you.” So how do you find that person with the skill base to bring in critical funds?

Look no further than your own organization or circle of support.  The Introduction to Proposal Writing workshop is a popular and free interactive training designed to teach individuals with little or no prior experience or those needing to polish their skills, powerful proposal writing and funding research methods.

Senior Nonprofit Consultant, Carmen Bogan, will cover: how program design/evaluation connect to a successful proposal, determining program funding needs, elements of the proposal, how to write the proposal, beyond submitting the proposal and getting to yes, tips for understanding what funders are looking for, and funding research basics—the key to funding partnerships.

Please RSVP at www.amodelbuiltonfaith.org or call 510-839-2440, email: [email protected].  Check in time:8:30 a.m. Workshop begins: 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
