The Pamela Price Campaign for Oakland Mayor has announced several key endorsements in the last week: Evolve, the California Nurses Association, and Our Revolution East Bay, according to a press statement released by her campaign.
“We need more people like [Pamela] in office in order to move California forward,” said Ben Grieff, Evolve’s campaign director.
Evolve is an organization that advocates for commonsense solutions to problems that affect a vast majority of Californians through ground-up, grassroots organizing in communities across the state.
Evolve’s past and current campaigns include increasing funding for public education, single payer healthcare, and commercial property tax reform.
The California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee is one of the nation’s fastest growing labor and professional organizations with more than 100,000 members in all 50.
Our Revolution East Bay endorsed Price at the organization’s gathering this Tuesday evening. Our Revolution East Bay is the local chapter of national organization Our Revolution, born out of the Bernie Sanders movement and focusing on reclaiming democracy for working-class people by electing and empowering progressive leaders.
“I am inspired and honored to have received the endorsements of these leading organizations — that have tirelessly advocated for and served everyday people and continue to fight to achieve results in creating more equitable communities across California and nationwide,” said Price.
“My work with CNA in Contra Costa County and my work with Our Revolution in Alameda County has always been about empowering our community and building the progressive power of the people,” she said.
