City of San Leandro Hosts Free Jangala Ballet Performance by Oakland Ballet Company

The City of San Leandro and the San Leandro invite the public to attend the Jangala ballet performance by the Oakland Ballet Company. The event will take place at the San Leandro High School’s Arts Education Center, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at 2250 Bancroft Avenue, San Leandro, CA 94577.

“We are excited to sponsor again the Oakland Ballet Company in their Jangala performance, tales from ‘The Jungle Book’,” said Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter. “If you missed it last year, we hope to see you at this all-age, family-friendly event this year where we can once again bring together the San Leandro community.”

The Oakland Ballet Company is a non-profit performing arts organization that reflects the rich diversity of Oakland and the greater East Bay. Founded in 1965, the Oakland Ballet Company’s mission is to provide accessible, relevant, and exciting dance for diverse communities. This is the second year San Leandro is hosting the ballet company for a community performance in conjunction with SLUSD.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required for this event and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the performance.
