Local musician Larry Brooks (better known as B.B. Brooks), has passed away at the age of 72. B.B. was born on November 15, 1946 and died on May 19, 2019.
B.B. was born in Vallejo but at a very young age his family moved to Berkeley. He attended Columbus Elementary, Burbank Jr. High and Berkeley High School. He also attended Merritt Jr. College in Oakland.

Besides playing at local clubs throughout the Bay Area, he opened for, backed up and traveled with such artists as Joe Tex, Bobby Womack, Bobby Bland and B.B. King, just to name a few.
