Rhonda Craft, 59, of Sacramento, has been appointed inspector general for the California Department of Transportation.
Craft has served as director of the Office of Traffic Safety at the California State Transportation Agency since 2014, where she was driver safety branch chief for the Licensing Operations Division from 2011 to 2014.
Craft was assistant division chief/program manager at the California Department of Motor Vehicles from 2005 to 2011, where she was driver safety manager from 1998 to 2005, principal driver safety officer from 1990 to 1991 and a program technician from 1984 to 1987.
This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $198,024. Craft is a Democrat.
