The interfaith Coalition of Alameda County will hold a regional meeting on Jan. 9, 2020, at 732 Willow St. in Oakland from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.
The global, faith-based institution standing together for civil liberties is against hatred based on race, religion, culture and ethnicity. The organization is known for its work to protect Oakland from the impact of coal shipments and will provide information and updates on the issue.
The meeting’s agenda will include the City of Oakland’s state of homelessness and proposed support and solutions, including tiny home winter shelters. The 2020 U.S. Census will also be discussed with information on employment opportunities and training.
