California Black Chamber of Commerce Hosts Business Summit in Oakland, Aug. 17

The California Black Chamber of Commerce is holding a luncheon “Fireside Chat” with University of California President Janet Napolitano, moderated by Alice Huffman, president and CEO of the state NAACP at an upcoming Women’s Symposium. Thursday, Aug. 17. The women’s symposium is part of the Ron Brown Business and Economic Summit that will be held Aug. 17-19, at the Hilton Airport, One Hegenberger Road Oakland, starting at 8:30 a.m. each day.

Produced with small business success in mind, the 2017 Ron Brown Summit will include three days of presentations by some of America’s most recognized business experts and organizations, along with presentations by Nicol Cober, author of “CEO of My oul;” Donna Wilson, Bloomberg radio personality; breakfast keynote speaker Andre Taylor, Taylor Insight Worldwide, LLC; Friday luncheon keynote speaker Timothy Simon, former PUC Commissioner and a host of other speakers.

A small business procurement fair will offer contracting opportunities from private/public, state, city and county government agencies.  Other summit highlights will include a Youth Summit sponsored, in part, by the Junior California Black Chamber of Commerce.

The summit seeks to reinforce the mutual benefits between state government, Fortune 500 companies and the small businesses that utilize their products and services. Additional details and registration information can be found at cbcc@calbcc.org or call (916) 463-0177.
