C5 Drops New Music At Listening Party

San Francisco, CA – Lights, camera, action. Up and coming artists are always ready for the spotlight. The local talent in the Bay Area is rising and one future superstar in the making is ready for his fame now.
C5’s official listening party for “Only Up From Here 2” kicked off last night at the Spotify in San Francisco. In front of crowd of fans and family C5 introduced new music including new video “All I Need” set to be released tomorrow.
He thanked God and his family for his success at the ripe age of 23. Raised in Oakland, C5’s path from Berkeley High to graduating from Dominguez Hills down in Los Angeles led to his dream to perform.
Selling CDs in college, C5’s first mixtape “Dorm Flow” made noise which led to his mother sending his tape to a few old high school friends. This sparked interest from various management labels to produce C5. Performing locally across the states has given life to a dream come true.

Discussing his latest project with Bay Area Podcast guru, Pata Fria. C5 sat down and talked about the motivation behind his music.
“I want people to listen to my music on any occasion,” said C5
“I want to be in the debate of the greatest of all time,” he explained. “I want to be recognized by bodies of work and go down as one of the greatest artist who ever lived.
A very humble and grounded C5, knows the temptations that come with fame and fortune but he knows with family first nothing can break their bond. This up and coming artist is a pescatarian. His focus is strictly on his success and giving back to the community through his music.
“I want timeless music, be able to act and sing. I want to do it all. I can’t let anything get in the way and it all comes with discipline. The way I was raised, I don’t judge those who chose a different lifestyle and party hard, but its not me.
I’m a leader, my circle is strong and will get better for the better.”
Next year people will know who C5 is and within 5 years he’ll be up there with the top artists. When I asked what live music show he’d want to appear on first, C5 simply responded that it would be at the BET Awards.
“BET Awards is first on my stop, and I can’t wait. I gotta rock for my people, you’ll see me next year! I’m very optimistic about that.”
