In 2004, she joined Bible Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of pastor Dr. Timothy Hawkins, serving in many capacities including in the Music Ministry as pianist, director and Minister of Music.

On April 26, 2007, she married Timothy Davis Sr. The couple spent numerous hours working together at Serenity House and ministering to the community.

Johnnie Faye Davis leaves to cherish her memory her husband; daughter, Lela Yvonne Garner (Delilah); son, Derricke Antonas Brown (Danielle); sister, Jennifer Ann Reed; dear friend and sister Linda Brown; two stepsons, Timothy Davis, Jr. (Lila) and Emanuel Davis; stepdaughter, Elaine Davis; sister-in-law, Brenda Davis-Barbagelata (Glenn); four grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Jaylah and Kaylah Davis and Alex Conley; niece Angelique Brown; the current and former clients of Serenity House; and a host of other family members and friends.
