KOL Education Foundation, a non-profit local in Vallejo, focuses on mentoring minority high school students to develop their academic skills and leadership abilities while providing emotional, mental, and financial support and programs to get these students prepared to get into college and get them through it.

With a number of programs offered to develop students’ leadership and academic abilities, their most prominent one is the Beautillion Program. The Beautillion Program is a program that works with male and female students, often referred to as “beaus” and “belles” that require their participation in community service projects and workshops that allow for leadership skill progression, social awareness, and development in education and career goals. A ball is hosted every year in March to celebrate these youth’s dedication and achievement within the program.

Another pivotal program unique to KOL is Project Alpha, which focuses on teen pregnancy and teaching young men and women about pregnancy, dating, and sexual prevention. These workshops provide these young adults with accurate information and workshops to combat fear and create an open line of communication to prevent teen pregnancy from happening.

Equally important as the aforementioned are the Alpha Academy that is offered to young men in 6th through 12th grade and the Brother’s Keepers program that requires students to visit senior citizens and widows/widowers in the community and aid in mundane tasks like house work or yard work.

KOL Education Foundation is located at 1768 Tuolumne St. Vallejo, Calif, 94589. They currently have no business hours available to the public. For more information on programs and services, ways to donate, or how to get involved, you can email them at koledfoundation@gmail.com or visit their website.
