Richmond’s Emanuel Pearlgate Baptist Church Celebrates Retirement of Pastor Hampton, Aug. 12

On August 12, the Emanuel Pearlgate Baptist Church will celebrate the retirement of Rev. Wade Hampton. The celebration program will be at the Olivet Baptist Church located at Revere and Third Street in San Francisco. Pastor Julian Spencer of Main Baptist Church in Illinois will be the guest speaker.

Pastor Julian Spencer

Pastor Hampton has served as the senior pastor of the church for ten years. Prior to this appointment, he served in various capacities, including Pastor of Bethesda Baptist Church in Pacifica.

As a young man he enlisted in the military and served a full course. He practiced and learned to organized, obedient, disciplined, unselfish, courageous, and prompt.

He is happily married to First Lady Kathleen Hampton. She has played a vital role in the spiritual upbringing of many God-fearing young men and women, teaching them to become persons who not only love the Lord but to serve the Lord with all of their heart. She is also a longtime member of the Minister’s Wives and Minister’s Widows Auxiliary.
