Stockton PD Has an App for That!

Published

Stockton Police Department launched its mobile app this week, a free mobile application that gives the public unprecedented access to the police department.

Working to better engage Stockton residents, the app allows the Stockton community to access news, crime maps, and alerts. The app also allows the public to submit anonymous tips to the department.

“We want to offer our community the best in technology and access, and that means making Stockton Police Department’s services and information available to mobile users,” said Police Chief Eric Jones. “We’re excited to have a partner in MobilePD that really understands the possibilities for mobile applications in law enforcement.”

MobilePD, a Silicon Valley–based start-up company that is developing mobile apps for several other police departments across the country, designed the App. The easy-to-use interface will provide information to the consumer, regardless of where they are in the world.

“We believe that applications like this build bridges between the community and their local government,” MobilePD CEO Kushyar Kasraie said. “We are excited to play a role in connecting the citizens of Stockton.”

The mobile app can be downloaded free through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Marketplace / Playstore.
