Teachers Endorse Tapscott for School Board District 7

Oakland teachers union, Oakland Education Association (O.E.A.), has endorsed Ben “Coach” Tapscott for Board of Education in District 7.

“We need a school board that stands with students and families – not billionaires and corporations,” said the union in a published statement.

“Billionaires have spent over $1.2 million in the last four Board of Education elections, buy8ing a board that voted to close neighborhood public schools, caused financial ruin for our district, and created a teacher retention crisis,” the statement said.
