City Accepting Applications for Committee and Commission Openings
The City of Stockton is currently accepting applications for the Public Art Advisory Committee, Civil Service Commission, Stockton Arts Commission, and the San Joaquin County Commission on Aging. These are volunteer positions, and all applicants must be registered to vote and live within the City limits of the City of Stockton throughout the term of service.
The City encourages applicants to submit applications one week prior to the scheduled interview date. Applications received after the deadlines will be considered for future recruitments.
Public Art Advisory Committee meets once every other month, works with the Stockton Arts Commission, and makes recommendations on public art projects and the City’s Public Art Master Plan. Interviews for these volunteer positions will be held February 18, 2015.
Stockton Arts Commission meets monthly and responsible for promoting and sponsoring projects and programs to further public awareness of the visual, performing, and literary arts in Stockton and to advise City Council on the City’s artistic and cultural development. Interviews for these volunteer positions will be held February 18, 2015.
Civil Service Commission meets monthly and adopts, amends, or repeals rules for the Civil Service System and acts in an advisory capacity to the City Manager on problems concerning personnel administration. Interviews for these civil service positions will be held February 25, 2015.
