Like Crushing Cans? Join Youth Going Green Recycling Program

Memorial Tabernacle Church youth give instruction on recycling at a recent church event.
Memorial Tabernacle Church is calling on young people aged 8 to 17 to become Can Crushers in a program to teach youth the value of recycling.
Youth Going Green, a national organization to raise consciousness on environmental issues, is holding a meet-up from 3-5 p.m. on Aug. 20 at the church fellowship hall at 58th and Telegraph.
Adults, supporters and the community at large are also encouraged to help Youth Going Green reach 1000 young people before the end of the year. Can Crushers will have an opportunity to:

- Make treasures out of their trash while learning about small business, entrepreneurship, & financial literacy
- Learn how recycling and waste reduction are STEM
- Develop and be leaders, inspiring other young people in the region
