PIC Hosts Hiring Events for Local Job Seekers
The career center operated by the Oakland Private Industry (PIC) is hosting a number of hiring events in April for Bay Area job seekers.
For over 30 years, Oakland PIC has offered employment services and training to help Oakland residents prepare for and reach career success.
In partnership with local employers, Oakland PIC is offering job seekers the opportunity to interview for open positions at employers including the U.S. Census, Securitas, WIS International and Scoobeez – an on-demand delivery service.
The West Oakland Neighborhood Career Center, located at 1801 Adeline St., Room 209, is hosting a U.S. Census hiring event Monday, April 3 at 9 a.m.
Positions are open for field representatives. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
The career center will also host WIS International, which is hiring multiple inventory positions, on Thursday, April 6 from noon to 3 p.m.
Securitas is recruiting for full- and part-time positions on Tuesday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation. Veterans and retired peace officers are encouraged to attend.
Scoobeez is recruiting for delivery positions on Monday, April 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Oakland PIC, 1212 Broadway, Suite 100, Oakland.
Job seekers should plan to arrive on time, bring a resume and be prepared for an interview.
