Stockton Police Seek Help in Fatal Movie Theatre Shooting
Stockton police are seeking the public’s help in identifying people who are “persons of interest” in a fatal shooting of Francisco Sanchez, 30, at the City Centre Stadium 16 movie theater on April 25.
Detectives have identified the following three people from those tips and now they are considered persons of interest in this case: Michael Moreno, a 24 year old man, 6’3″, 240 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, usually wears glasses; Miguel Gallardo, a 19 year old man, 5’5″, 120 lbs, black hair, brown eyes; and, Jimmie Zavala, a 24 year old man, 5’5″, 150, brown hair.
Police investigators said the persons of interests are believed to members of the Fourth Street Nortenos Street Gang. Officers believe a confrontation ensued between the group and Sanchez, who was later shot and killed under the theatre dome.
Sanchez’s wife, Ashley Sanchez, also spoke out, pleading for anybody who might have seen something to step forward. She said she and her 5-year-old son are still struggling to accept the death of her husband.
The Stockton Police Department is encouraging citizens to call if they have information pertaining to this investigation. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.
