Corey Booker Campaigns in Oakland
Presidential Candidate Senator Corey Booker made a small intimate campaign stop in Oakland last week. About 300 supporters waited patiently in the afternoon sun for the candidate to arrive to the parking lot of the Artthaus Studios.
Booker made a compelling case for his nomination based on what he describes as the “impotence of empathy” in the federal government today.
He also stressed the need for increased voter registration and census participation in the states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania for the 2020 election.
Senator Booker’s presidential campaign is being headed by Oakland native Addisu Demissie, who successfully ran Governor Gavin Newsom’s Gubernatorial campaign.
